22/10/2010

The Moroccan army has tightened Thursday morning the "blockade" on the camp of the Sahrawi exodus , east of the occupied city of El Aaiun, and encircled entrances to the camp, according to the Ministry of Occupied Territories and Communities Abroad.

The authorities of occupation chased cars coming from the city to prevent them from entering the camp and used live bullets to intimidate them, causing more than 7 injuries of varying severity among the Sahrawi citizens.

The authorities have proceeded in building a sand wall to segregate the displaced people from the occupied city of El Aaiun, like the wall of shame and humiliation that divides the territory and people of Western Sahara.

The life of the exodus in the camp is in "grave danger," in particular, the wounded, sick and pregnant women whom are in poor condition due to the siege, starvation and slow killing inflicted upon them, the source further warned.
